The concept of infinity can be found throughout the works of any fractal artist. The worlds that are created are unlimited, endless, and without boundaries. The idea of something continuing forever has sparked curiosity from almost everyone at some point. We all have faced two mirrors towards each other and looked at the display of images that seem to go on forever, trying to find its end.
The idea can be difficult to grasp, but fractal art is a great way to realize and imagine infinity. Self similarity is a defining characteristic in fractal geometry. When these complex entities are magnified, you will see that you are able to zoom in infinitely, and the smaller images will have the same properties as the overall structure. Infinity, by definition, is so big that it could never be fully depicted in an image. It is beyond anything anyone has ever experienced, so the use of your imagination is required when analyzing infinity in fractal art images. It escapes full comprehension by the human brain with its abstract nature. “Colors, like features, follow the changes of the emotions.” - Pablo Picasso
The use of color in artwork is an instant attention getter. Colors can be used to spark one’s attention, set the mood, and to put the mind at ease. The effect of color on an individual is often subjective, but there are universal meanings that different colors generally take on. The various interpretations of colors are heavily influenced by our culture, as well as our own personal experiences. They are divided into warm colors, like red, orange, and yellow that are associated with energy and stimulation, to cool colors, like green, blue and purple that are generally thought of as more calm and soothing. Prismatic World Copyright © 2015, Tiffany McFarlane Done in Mandelbulb 3d. Here, I was practicing working with the Amazing Box formula. I found a great tutorial that explains the basics pretty well here. I added a touch of volumetric lighting to give this fractal the feel of a mysterious structure on a distant, alien world.

Psychedelic
adjective 1. Relating to or denoting drugs (especially LSD) that produce hallucinations and apparent expansion of consciousness. 1.1 Relating to or denoting a style of rock music originating in the mid 1960s, characterized by musical experimentation and drug-related lyrics. 1.2 Denoting or having an intense, vivid color or a swirling abstract pattern: a psychedelic T-shirt Psychedelia noun Music, culture, or art based on the experiences produced by psychedelic drugs. Fractal art has often been said to have a psychedelic feel. The use of vivid colors and swirling, complex patterns encourages the stimulation of one’s senses. When analyzing psychedelia, you may be inspired to slip into a psychedelic state to explore the edges of your own mind. Psychedelic fractals are shown to illustrate a state of altered consciousness. The use of idioms in art can add an extra layer of substance to a piece, and make it even more interesting for the viewer. They serve as a vivid picture of a particular expression, giving more insight into its interpretations. Abstract art is applied here to describe these abstract situations.
